I started my tattoo journey in the early 2000s when the tattoo industry was less safe for queer, trans people of color. Feeling like there was no space for someone like me, I went to college, snagged a degree, and established my life as a designer. Fast forward to 2020, at the height of COVID lockdowns, I found myself burnt out and longing to restart my path towards tattooing.
Since then, I've been lucky enough to have been mentored by @whotattooedyou and guided by a supportive community of talented and cool tattooers in the Bay Area.
Outside of tattooing, I freelance as a product designer (www.micah.cool). The rest of my time is dedicated to a passionate artistic practice of lettering, sign painting, calligraphy, illustration, and screen printing. On my days off, you can find me chasing the sunshine with my kid, hanging out with my partner, playing with my goofy puppy "Booger," or getting tattooed myself!
